Pastor Jim and Cathy Gantenbein

Jim Gantenbein grew up on the west coast, living in Washington, California, and Oregon before attending Oklahoma Baptist University where he met Cathy. They were married on May 26, 1974, the day after their graduation, and proceeded to serve in two Oklahoma churches. While serving in a rural Texas church, Jim attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon graduation in 1981 they loaded all their belongings and moved to Washington where he served Trinity Baptist Church in Lakewood as Pastor of Youth and Music until coming to Kitsap Lake Baptist Church in March of 2006.

Jim and Cathy are the proud parents of: Aaron, Alison; and David.

Beyond the church walls, Jim's ministry has included leading conferences, writing student curriculum and other materials, as well as mission trips in the Pacific Northwest, Mexico, Amsterdam, and Ukraine.
